Associate Account Manager

 

TITLE: Associate Account Manager

REPORTS TO: Assigned Account Manager

STATUS: Full Time (Exempt)

JOB FUNCTION: Provides assistance to the account manager in the day-to-day management of accounts and develops the skills necessary to advance to the position of Account Manager.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides administrative assistance to account executives, and account manager on day-to-day activities for assigned clients, including responding to client phone calls, faxes and emails, handling mail/packages, and project deadlines to ensure continued progress of client work flow in the absence of the assigned account executive.
  • Stays aware of client activities to provide backup when account executives are unavailable.
  • Provides input in planning stage as requested by account executives or project manager. Assists in mailings, word processing final copy, agendas, conference reports, proposals, correspondence and other materials related to account and prepares the above for client presentations.
  • Handles paperwork and maintains files on all client activities, their competitors and their industries; maintains client correspondence file, approvals, forms/documents, supplies for daily processing and tracking of account service work, etc.
  • Maintains “Client Kits” for all assigned accounts, detailing past work and work-in-progress, and all pertinent information needed for meeting client standards and expectations.
  • • Participate as member of Account Management team to determine and implement
    revenue goals and objectives.
    Insures that all work is approved to agency standards.

EDUCATIONAL PROFILE:

  • College Graduate (Degree in Business Administration/Management preferred);

 

EXPERIENCE PROFILE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in a communications and/or marketing-related field
  • Interactive agency or advertising agency experience preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Especially Word and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Access and other database management software a plus
